I know I haven't posted in a while, so here what has happened in our life through my Instagram pictures. Gotta love that app!

We discovered that Cole likes to chill out with his feet up.. especially while eating breakfast.

We went to my old high school's homecoming game and watched my little sister cheer.

We bought Cole his first pair of shoes. He loved it and he loved being outside!

We ate a little BBQ. Okay, we ate a LOT of BBQ. It was so dang good.

Cole got new Halloween pajamas and I've got to say that his bum looked so dang cute in the striped pants!

We discovered Cole loves being outside. Obsessed, really.

We tried out a couple of the DIY decorating ideas for Halloween and it turned out pretty dang cute.

We got a visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Cook... and we LOVED it. Ever second of it. We can't wait for them to come back!

We took a bath. Well, we took multiple baths, but I just loved this picture!

We got a hair cut! A much needed hair cut, to be honest. We were starting to have a mullet. And by "we" I mean Cole.

Here is my little man looking so "fresh to death".

And we ate a little sushi. We ate sushi with an awesome friend.

We dressed up. All Halloween weekend. I was a flapper, Derek was a 50's gangsta and Cole was Toad from Mario Kart.

Right here are my two favorite boys. Ready for a little mush? 'Cause here it comes. I am so blessed. My husband is such an amazing daddy. I've got to admit, he has exceeded my expectations. The best ever is to watch Derek play with Cole or when Derek wants to go pick Cole up from his crib after his nap because he is excited to see him. AND when Derek gets excited when Cole snuggles up on his daddy. You can tell it melts his heart. I love it. I could watch it all day.
I'm feeling such an immense amount of love tonight for my husband. He has been working so hard at his job, for the CPA exam and is so extremely helpful at home. I don't want to embarrass him, I am just so proud of him. So, there is your daily dose of mush. Mmm. Doesn't that taste good?

Memorial Day

So for Memorial Day, we had a couple visitors! Derek's mom and stepdad came to visit from Idaho, and we had a blast. I cannot believe I did not take any pictures other than these few, but we were just having so much fun, I forgot to take out my camera! One of the days, we took a day trip to Sedona. On the way up to Sedona, we stopped at Montezuma's Castle. Derek had always wanted to see it, so it was fun to go and visit it! Sedona was a blast and quite the change of scenery for our Idahoans. We also, as per request of our visitors, ate some Soul food at Lolo's Chicken and Waffles. We had Kool-Aid, grits, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and waffles. It was so yummy! It was sad to see them go, but we had such a great weekend with them here!

A Little Man Birthday.

For Cole's Birthday, we threw him a little party. A little man party. We invited our family over and served desserts and opened presents. Cole got his very own smash cake in which he stuck his hand in then cried. Not exactly how I envisioned that going. In his defense, he has had like three teeth come in all at the same time and that has got to hurt! For his actual birthday, let him open our presents. One of his presents was mustache pajamas. I thought they were so funny and so fitting for this little man! I did take pictures, but I've been a little obsessed with Instagram, so I decided to use those instead. Since Cole has turned one, he has walked! He is taking about five or six steps and immediately claps afterwards, and makes sure you do too! He is also is becoming more of a "tornado". Today, I went to the grocery store. Cole discovered how to unbuckle himself in the cart and stand up when I was turned away looking at what I needed. He also discovered he could reach out and pull things off the shelf, like a whole box of gum. At home, he leaves a mess wherever he goes and pulls out anything loud that he can bang against the floor, like cake pans or sifters. I think I may have a crazy "toddler" on my hands! This week, I will be trying to teach him not to put his hands in the toilet and to eat other foods besides berries and mac and cheese. I'm trying to fatten up this little skinny kid but he has become quite the picky child while he is teething. Goodness gracious! Any help?

He's one! My little man is one! What an amazing little boy, I have! We love him very much! Now, we're off to celebrate and do something fun! P.S. Cole walked the other day. Took his very first steps! We are so proud! Can't wait until he is just running around the house!

I am going to try really hard not to get emotional, but all I can think of right now is Taylor Swift's "Dont Ever Grow Up":

I cannot believe my little man is one tomorrow. I just keep thinking about the first time I had my little baby and now he is walking (took his first steps yesterday!) Cole has brought so much joy into our family and we love him more than anything. Derek and I were talking the other day about how we can't imagine our life any different. We are a very blessed family. Here is a timeline from us announcing our pregnancy to today!

Starting over.

The other day, I went to delete my old blog. And accidentally deleted my newer blog. I got the URL back, but all my posts went into the trash and so I am starting over. So. This is the picture you get until I get everything back in order. Bummer.
